Front, Side and Back & Challenge info!




To start my V day challange here are pre pictures. I'll take some post ones after. These are the best I could do! LOL Here are my goals to meet by valentines day!
Okay my goals are:
*lose 10 lbs*add new cardio exercise
*exercise a min of 3 days a week, aim for 4.
*limit soda to one a day. (I haven't had one in a week!! I need one!!)
*Keep water intake good
*No fast food (currently not a problem!)

Last day of challenge!!!

I got up today and weighed in at 181!! I am 1 lb away from meeting my goal for these 7 days!! I'm so excited! I plan to make a Valentines Day goal as well but not sure what I want those to be yet. I'll let you know once I decide!!

Day 6 of Challenge!!

Well today I've got to make it count!! I wish I could hit the Y but I have all three kids and Ashlee was sick last night so I can't go to the daycare at the Y even if Jake didn't cry!

I've been more hungry the past few days. I'm not sure why. We've been showing the house alot more so maybe that has something to do with it.. stress or something. I do eat when I'm hungry though because I don't think you should feel hungry. It's the choices you make in eating that are a downfall.

So anyway, Today I've had the following:


  • Breakfast: two slices whole wheat toast w/pb
  • Lunch: turkey, cheese and pickle sandwich and a handful of red grapes
  • Chili w/sour cream

Snacks: Popcorn, toasted ham and cheese, fudgesicle, 6 candy cane hershey kisses, corn chips with cheese.

Snack: popcorn

YEAH BABY!!


I hit 182 today!! This means I've lost 3lbs so far in this challange!! I'm so excited. I'm starting to think that I wont lose the full 5. I probably will have to starve myself to do that and I'm just not willing! Today is an off day from the gym. I'm supposed to go tommorrow but Mark is working so I'll go Sunday instead. I wish Jake wouldn't scream in the daycare!! UGH.


Today I've had:



  • Breakfast: Oatmeal

  • Lunch: Salad with all the fixin's (as you all say in the south!)
  • Dinner: Chili

Snacks: Popcorn, Cookies, grapes, banana w/ peanutbutter on bread, corn chips w/cheese

Recap

I want to keep track of what I eat each day so here is a recap from yesterday.

  • Breakfast - Nutragrain bar and banana
  • Lunch - Salad with turkey, ham, cheese, apple, cukes and carrots
  • Dinner - Low fat/cal chicken pot pie
  • Snacks - 1 cup of soy mocha and 1 bag of 100 cal popcorn

Today I've had this so far. I'll update it later.

7 Day Challenge

Okay, so today is day one of this challenge I've created for myself. My goal is to really put in an effort this week and lose some weight. :) I have specific goals that I want to meet this week.
  1. Drink a minimum of 100 oz of water daily.
  2. Exercise at least 3 times during the 7 days for a min of an hour each time
  3. No soda
  4. Proper Portions when eating.
  5. No eating after dinner.

Today I went to the Y and I did 35 minutes on the treadmill and then used the weights for another 40 minutes. I plan to go again tomorrow and then again Thursday so that will meet the requirement of exercise. I've already had 50.7 oz of water and its 12:40 so I'm doing good on that too. I still haven't measured yet but I'll do that tomorrow. I really hope to lose 5 lbs this week. I think I can do it since I lost 3 last week without trying!

Back at the Y

I went back to the Y today. I'm really happy that I did. I did 35 minutes on the treadmill and then I did 25 on the machines. I really want to tone up my arms where all the extra skin is. I plan to go on Tuesdays and Thursdays and on the weekends if I can. I'm not going to commit to going every day like last time because it was like a job and I hate that feeling. I am thinking about getting the girls back in swim too. I can take Kaity during the day and let Ash go after school.

I have gotten down to 185. Tomorrow will be one week so we'll see what my total weekly loss is.

I've thought of a great goal. I want to be in the 170's within 2 weeks. This means I have to work extra hard at controlling my portions.

Good news is that I put on a size 10 pair of jeans the other day!!! I was so excited!! I want to get down to 150. So I've got 35 lbs to go!! I hope by our cruise in May I'll be there. I'm sure I will if I keep up on it!

Cancer Free

I'm in remission. I've learned alot about the importance of having a healthy body over the past few months. Being overweight can cause a number of health issues, plus its a breeding ground for disease. Why get healthy you may ask? I'm in remission. Remission is NOT a cure. It doesn't mean it wont come back. I want to give myself the best possible chance to stay alive and well. I want to have energy to play with my children and to do the activities that I want to do.

Today is day two of my diet. It's not really a "diet" diet. It's more of a portion control and making good choices when eating. I lost a good amount of weight when I was getting chemo and recovering so I don't have as far to go as I would have originally. I call that the Chemo diet. I don't recommend it!

I am down 2 lbs from my starting weight. When I began this I was at 187. My goal is to reach 150. Once I get there, I will set a new goal depending on how I look and feel. Today I was 185 and that made me so happy because I have been over 200 or close to it for the past year.

Anyway, I will update here and post how I'm doing.
